FAQ
- What does the text file contain?
- Each page is separated by a "--- Page N ---" header, followed by all extractable text from that page.
- Will scanned PDFs work?
- Scanned (image-only) PDFs have no embedded text and will produce an empty or near-empty file. Use a PDF with real text layers.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. Text extraction runs entirely in your browser using PDF.js. Nothing is sent to any server.
- Is the formatting preserved?
- Basic word order is preserved. Complex multi-column layouts may not reflow perfectly — the output is plain text.
